Kind of a symbolic pic for me all around. The figure is my muse, I kinda wanna rename him but my brain's not on at the moment so I'll think of something later. In the rpg I run he's the oracle, created through pure magic for selfish reasons, kind of a mistake. He's never seen without a strange egg that was created at the same time as he was, the egg is a representation of the realm's hope towards a golden age. I couldn't think of a better icon of hope than an egg. Inside you really don't know what form it'll take, it's fragile and precious, easily broken or crushed.
So yeah, yay for that.
Dunno if I'll color it, I kinda drew it during my lunch break today and cleaned it up when I got home after finishing up some other projects. He's mine so no touchy.
Edit: And that's not blood or tears from his eyes, they're pretty markings that will show up better if I get off my duff and color it XD
awww... ::sad:: I think this is just about the best image of the broken hope theme I have ever seen. This one made me want to tear up. And I don't usually cry easily.
It's the stuff running out of the crack/from the break that did it. It's dead, and I, being a bird enthusiast, know this all too well. Cracked eggs can sometimes survive, but if they lose their goo... they die. Very, very sad.

Yeah, I'm kind of in one of those moods and I just needed to vent on paper. It is sad when the eggs crack, we have some where I work in the finch nests and one hatched just fine but a few others didn't T_T

So here at the end of this day Where the world is shaded in gray I will look to the blue horizons and watch for you to come When my hope is tattered and torn When my faith is weathered and worn I'll look to the blue horizons
This is really coool... I love all the different parts to the person... your mix-n-match-ness always appeals to something fanciful in me XD I think you should color this.

I have that happen with my finches all the time. I think with mine, they tend to get burried under new nesting material and so they get cold. I've had a couple that were mostly formed and then just couldn't hatch. I've had a few get punctured by toenails... it's really sad how few make it.

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
